FO Alert: Full Frontal Brioche

This sweater has been a long time in the making! In fact, I had to knit it twice 😂 I'm so happy with the outcome, though!

The yarn is once again lolodidit, this time Baby Got Yak, which is divine! The golden color is Nynaeve and the black is Lanfear - both colorways inspired by the Wheel of Time novels. In fact, when I started knitting this sweater, I also started reading the books! A little short of 6 weeks later, I finished the books and the sweater as well.
Now, I mentioned that I had to knit this twice - by which I mean, the front brioche panel. I used the same gauge as another brioche sweater that I had previously knit. Unfortunately, adding brioche on the yoke of the sweater didn't quite match up to the brioche on the entire front, and the first attempt was WAY too small. So this sweater took a bit longer to knit when I had to frog my first attempt and re-knit the brioche in a larger needle size.
I opted for the whole front in the brioche pattern and the back and arms in solid stockinette. As I was knitting the sleeves from the cuff up as I normally do, I realized I was going to run out of the gold colorway. So another second knit was in order, and I frogged the sleeves, seamed the front and backs, and picked up the sleeves to knit from the shoulders down. When I was nearing the end of the gold yarn, I started adding the black to finish out the sleeves. In the end I used almost all the yarn I had, and when I worked out all the kinks, this is one of my favorite sweaters to date!
