FO Alert: Isle Royale Kaleidoscopic Shawl

The effort to revivify my shawl patterns continues with Kaleidoscopic Shawl. In the past, I've only knitted this pattern in fingering weight yarn, so this time I decided I'd use laceweight yarn. This iteration was knit with a skein of Juniper Lace from Evergreen Fiber Works, in colorway from the National Parks club that ran a couple years ago - Isle Royale National Park.

This pattern was specifically designed to show off highly variegated yarn, which can be a tricky goal when you're dealing with a laceweight skein! It was the perfect opportunity to show off this beautifully dyed club colorway!

The pattern features lace on both the right and wrong sides, a estonian braid, and an element of randomness wherein you use a random number generator or roll a die to determine whether to do another repeat of the diamond lace, or do a plait section to break up the all-over lace pattern.

Both the pattern and the finished shawl are available in the shop!
